Comfortable stay for a family of four with amazing English breakfast buffet included ! We stayed recently for three nights at the start of a 10 day UK trip. Blackheath is a great location as it's out of the city center but has convenient public transport into London (buses to Canary Wharf or Greenwich right across the road). I remember staying at this hotel as a child; it's retained some of it's dated aspects (possibly the upper rooms were renovated- we had a family suite on the lower floor ), however, the value for price was great; we could never have had two rooms in London for the price we paid for our suite here. The family suite included two bedrooms and a shared bath. The triple-twin room was large; our double bed room was smaller but spacious enough. Both rooms had wardrobes and tea service, windows that opened, and adjustable radiators. The bathroom was a bit small, and I do think that the elevated tub is somewhat of a safety hazard. Shower worked great after we figured it out. The highlight of staying at the Clarendon is it's buffet breakfast. The breakfast room has definitely been renovated and is sunny and spacious. Staff are attentive, white tablecloths, tea/coffee to your table. The food options include all the English breakfast fixings, pastry, toast, charcuterie for the continentals, cereal, etc. Blackheath village has numerous dining options, and the Princess of Wales pub is steps from the hotel.

This is a classic hotel with contemporary comfort and good-old fashioned values of service. All of the staff were incredibly professional and attentive and the ambience was wonderfully relaxed and comfortable. It is also in a great location with a wealth of fine pubs and restaurants nearby. A gem and a wonderful alternative to the generic and impersonal McHotel offerings.

Nice hotel. Parking seemed fine when I arrived at around 10.15pm which is a positive. Staff welcoming and room seemed nice. It is a bit of an old fashioned hotel but that wasn't an issue, just not my preferred style. Clean, large room and the free breakfast was very good. Choice of hot and cold buffet with vegetarian options (I'm not vegetarian so recommend the sausages, yum!). You can even take it to your room if you want. Only concern was that the toilet launched water out of it if you flushed with the lid up. Fan on the wall was a blessing and comfortable mattress even though it was springs. £7 uber to Greenwich Uni campus and £12 to o2 arena. Bus stop just outside. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel. Ideally placed for our trip to the O2 Arena. Very close to train station. Lovely staff. Rooms clean and sufficient for our needs. Breakfast included in rate. Extra marks for that.

We have just had a great stay at The Clarendon Hotel with our daughters. The room was more than comfortable, fresh and clean with a lovey shower room within the suite. Most importantly, finally a room where all 5 of us can fit! We checked in early evening following a day in London and enjoyed drinks and snacks in the lounge. Again, a lovey comfortable space for us to relax in with a selection of games to use should you wish. After a good nights sleep in our room, which was lovey and warm, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. All the staff at The Clarendon have been warm, welcoming and helpful. We are really looking forward to returning and wish you all a very merry Christmas!

Would have got a full 5* but for the faulty doors on many rooms. Had to slam doors to shut as they are not fitting properly. Not good for late night returning guests. Also the very intermittent WiFi in the bedrooms. Kept crashing. Food outstanding, good portions not scrimping as other hotels are doing. Staff excellent, location equally good. Transport ( buses) on doorstep. Trains a little further. Older hotel but has a quaintness that modern ones do not ever have.

I cannot rate this hotel enough, it is absolutely brilliant. I have stayed here a few times over the past couple of months and the service and all staff have been beyond helpful and lovely. The rooms have all been immaculate and so comfortable to stay in. The food is incredible too. There are rumours that the hotel may be converted into flats and I genuinely think it would be an absolute shame if the hotel was to go. It's location is amazing and it is an absolute gem in Blackheath. Thank you so much to every member of staff that made our stay so comfortable.

We have just spent 2 nights at The Clarendon Hotel. It was lovely. The rooms are clean and decent. Breakfast is great-lots of choice. But it's the staff that made it for me. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we were even able to leave the car in the car park, after we checked out,so we could spend more time in the local area. A wonderful experience in all .
